Jack Phillips

Jack Phillips passed from this life Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Fair Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation, in Jamestown. He was 68 years of age.
Jack was born in Pennington Gap, Virginia, May 15, 1955, son of Wayne Phillips and Emily Tankersley Harris. He had moved with his daughter to Russell Springs late last year, where his mother and sisters reside.
He might be described as a man who liked to “boss you around”. Jack was soft spoken and kind, always greeting with a smile; and to quote his niece, he was “fiercely protective of those he loved”.
Jack loved watching football and going fishing. He enjoyed eating chocolate (especially Turtles), drinking coffee, and listening to classic rock music. Jack loved reading fantasy genre books, with Stephen King works among some of his favorites.
He is survived by his mother, Emily Harris, of Russell Springs; his daughters, Ashley Hartman, of Russell Springs, and Myra (and Bill) Noffsinger, of Hamersville, Ohio; his brother, Jeff (and Donna) Phillips, of Amelia, Ohio; his sisters, Denise Harris, Melissa (and Tommy) Voils, and Krista Meece, all of Russell Springs; his grandchildren, Legacy Webster, Michael Webster, Laney Noffsinger and Caylee Graham; his great-grandchild, Riley Webster; and a special niece, Jessica Gossage.
Jack is preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Phillips; his father, Wayne Phillips; his daughters, Danielle Webster and Bridgett Phillips; and his brothers, Bryan Phillips and Ricky Phillips.
No public services will be scheduled.
